About the project
Vinoly is a private dining room beneath the Gunmakers, a Marylebone pub first licensed in 1791. From the team of Xavier Rousset MS, it hosts breakfast meetings, lunches, wine dinners and tastings, with a cellar of mature wines and six guest rooms upstairs for the night after.
Most guests arrive with an occasion in mind; others only need a bed in town. So the first screen answers both: the dining room and one clear way to enquire on one side, the rooms and their dates on the other. Menus, seats and the practical details follow in plain answers, and tastings have a path of their own.
The mark is a facade in fine green line, and it does the explaining: its windows open onto the rooms, its arched door onto the candlelit table. The type is a calm serif. As you scroll, the colour goes downstairs, from the cream of the street to candlelight and the greens of the cellar, so the brand, the site and the evening read as one house.

From the team
We started from one idea: Vinoly is a house, and the site should read like one. Draw the facade well, and the table downstairs and the rooms upstairs find their place.
