Ampel

Ampel is a fine wine merchant based in England, built on a simple belief: knowledge, relationships and judgement stay human, and technology makes them sharper. Collectors buy from its marketplace, bring the cellar they already own and keep it all in bond. In its own words: your cellar, illuminated.

Ampel has two visitors in mind: someone looking for a wine, and someone who owns a collection and wants to understand it. So the first screen gives each a door of their own, to explore the marketplace or to upload a collection. The questions collectors really ask, about storage, cost and privacy, are answered plainly. The complexity stays behind the scenes, as it does in the service.

We paired Instrument Serif with a deep ultramarine and a warm cream, and let glass and cellar light carry the mood. The same blue panel holds the promise on a desktop and the newsletter on a phone, so the site, the platform and the letters share one calm voice.
